Power pumping is often recommended to women that are trying to increase their milk supply. Some advantages of power pumping are that it doesn’t require using any new supplements or medications, there is little risk to trying it, and anyone can do it! Here is everything you need to know.

What is power pumping? How can power pumping help me increase my milk supply?
Power pumping attempts to mimic cluster feeding, but with a breast pump. (Sometimes it’s also called “cluster pumping.”)
When a nursing baby cluster feeds, he stays at the breast, nursing on and off and trying to get more milk.
Often, this happens in the early evenings – both because that’s when babies start to tank up for a longer stretch of sleep, and because breastfeeding mothers tend to have lower milk supply at that time. It also happens when babies have a growth spurt and need more milk than they normally do.
Because breast milk production works as a supply and demand system – meaning that the more milk your body thinks your baby needs, the more it will make – the baby staying at the breast cluster feeding signals to the body that there is more demand. This often leads to a boost in milk production.
Power pumping breast milk is your pump staying at the breast and trying to get more milk, instead of your baby, to make your body recognize it needs to make more milk.
How do I power pump to increase supply?
In order to power pump, you’ll want to sit down and pump on and off at an interval for about an hour, like a cluster feeding baby would nurse.
You can choose the interval that works for you – you can do 20 minutes of pumping and then alternate 10 minutes of pumping or resting. Or you could do 12 minutes on and 8 off, 15 and 5, etc.

The amount of time doesn’t have to be exact – cluster feeding babies don’t nurse for exactly 15 minutes, take a 5 minute break, etc. All I would suggest is to get through your first letdown before you switch to resting, and if you’re pumping and in the middle of a letdown, I would keep pumping until it’s finished.
That’s pretty much all you have to do!
One power pumping session replaces one of your pumping sessions from your normal schedule, so you can just pump at your usual time, but for longer than you normally would and at intervals.
One thing to note is that if you’re power pumping and nothing is coming out, you should keep pumping! Your goal is to get another letdown, which will give you more milk.
How often should I power pump?
Once per day is great.
If you want to do twice and you can manage it, that’s fine, but make sure that you don’t pump so much that you get burned out and miserable. You are worth more to your baby than a few extra ounces of breast milk.
Is there a best time of day to do it?
Any time that you can dedicate an hour to pumping is fine.
Many women power pump in the early evening after putting their baby to bed, both because it’s easier to do it while baby is asleep and because babies often cluster feed around that time.
Can I power pump with a manual pump?
Yes. To use a manual pump when you cluster pump, you could pump each side for 12 minutes, and then switch back and forth on each side for 8 minutes. So instead of resting completely, each side takes a turn to rest.

If your hand gets tired, you can obviously take a few minutes to completely rest in between sides, too.
You can also try using a Haakaa on one side while manually pump on the other.
How can I make power pumping easier?
Do something that you enjoy while you power pump! Pick a time when you can sit and relax a little bit (just, you know … with your breast pump). Watch a show you love, read a book, spend time looking at cat gifs, whatever makes you happy.
Make sure that you have a pumping station set up with everything you need, since you’ll be there awhile and need to be comfortable.
A hands-free pumping bra is key – no one wants to spend an hour holding flanges up to their breasts.
If possible, don’t try to take care of your baby while power pumping. Ideally, save power pumping for when your baby is sleeping or you have help.

What are typical power pumping results? Does power pumping work?
You won’t see instant results from power pumping.
It takes a few days for your body’s supply to respond to the increased demand from your breast pump. Try to power pump for at least four days in a row (up to a week of “power pumping boot camp”) and then evaluate how it’s going.
I did an extremely non-scientific poll on Instagram, and about 62% of women who responded said that it helped them.

Good luck! If you’ve tried power pumping, please feel free to share your experience in the comments!

Hi! I had a bad clogged duct for 3-4 days and now it appears my supply on that side has completely dwindled. Could my body just re regulate now that the clog is gone or should I do power pumping on that side? Do I power pump for the entire time even if no milk is coming out? Thank you!!!
Hi Emily! I think pumping a little extra on that side is a good idea. I would do a one hour power pumping session and yes finish it even if the milk isn’t flowing. Good luck and glad that the clog is cleared!
Thank you for reminding me to not make myself miserable and burnt out. I really needed to hear that today.
You’re doing great MaryKate!
Amanda, thanks for your job! Pumping is very important. If you feel like your breasts are empty, that’s actually good, as empty breasts send signals to boost production. You should keep them as empty as possible, from feedings and eatings. There are many lactogenic herbs (goats rue, fennel, etc), as well as specifically formulated tinctures. strongly recommend “more milk plus” from the motherlove company. There’s also domperidone, that is very good at boosting milk supply 😊. I was able to stop dom after a while and supply held more or less steady.
Hi! Can I switch the time of day I power pump for? When I’m at work and baby is at daycare, morning is easiest for me to power pump. But when she’s home on the weekends evenings are better. Thank you so much!
Hi Allie! Yes, that’s totally fine!
My pump (Ameda Mya) has a stimulation mode and a stronger expression mode. When power pumping, do I use only the expression mode? Or do I start with stimulation mode and see if I get a let down and then switch to expression? I’m worried that I may not get a let down. So I don’t want to sit for 10/20 minutes on the stimulation mode if I should be using the stronger expression mode, if that makes sense. Thanks!
Hi EMily! I would try starting in stimulation mode until you get a letdown, but by all means play around with it and do what seems to work best for you in getting the most milk! This can be different for different people. Good luck!
I have a 3mo and my supply was supposedly decreasing over time without me knowing… baby wasn’t fussing and I wasn’t pumping… she starting losing weight. ☹️ I now only get about 2-3 oz on my good side and 0.5-1.5 on my slacker side. (I’ve been pumping one side while feeding on the other.)
I’m going to do some power pumping the next 3 days while I have help (I also have a 21mo so it’s hard to do without help.)
After I do it these 3 days… do I need to keep doing a regular pumping session during the day?
I never had to pump with my firstborn (other than for a couple months I went back to work).
Thank you!
Ps. Before my supply dwindled and then recently tanked, I used to get super full breasts and be able to pump 4-5+ oz.
Hi Lacey! Sorry you’re dealing with this. I think power pumping for 3 days is great – I would pump when you have time but I totally understand that with 2 under 2 it’s super hard. IF you have a manual pump or a Haakaa you could use it whenever you have an extra minute versus having to do a full pumping session?
Have you tried oatmeal? That might help too and isn’t time-intensive. Just an idea! Good luck!
Hi… I’ve been seeing that one should aim to pump 7-8 times a day (including night). What if I’m nursing during the day and evenings(?) . I usually do 1 power pump session in the evening and perhaps one regular 20 min pumping season during the day if I’m pretty full and i missed a feeding (I have to supplement with bottle bc i just don’t produce enough for my LO to fill up on a nursing session —so i nurse then i bottle feed). My question is , should i also be pumping after nursing to keep /increase my milk supply?( I currently get about 2oz in my power pump session).
Hi Alina, if your breast feels pretty empty after your baby nurses, then you don’t need to pump. If it feels like she’s leaving a lot of milk behind, it’s probably a good idea if you can.
I am trying to induce a milk supply, not having been pregnant. (Well, at least not in the past 9 years). Any tips? How often should I pump? Should I be taking supplements? Should I visit my Dr. for hormones?
Hi Holly! Here’s what I would recommend – I hope this helps!

Hi Amanda,
My milk supply has dropped and I think it’s because I tried dropping a pump session. I’m going to incorporate power pumping in schedule. I usually pump every 3 hours. If I power pump at 3pm do I pump my regular session at 6pm? Btw I love your emails! Thank you 🙂
What if you don’t have a letdown while power pumping?
Hi Heather – do you mean the whole time? Or just in the later part of the power pumping session?
Does power pumping increase the supply over 24 hour period or only at the time of day that you do it? Struggling with low supply in the evenings in particular!
Hi Lauren, Over the time, the idea is that it would increase it over 24 hours. But you have to give it a week or two. Good luck!
Hi! I am 5wpp and I started at 7-8 pumps a day and I am now doing 6 pumps a day at 20 minutes each. Just today I noticed my supply dropped by a number of ounces. Typically I get 4-6 oz per pump but today I am getting just 2-4. Could it be regulation? Can I bring my supply back up by making one of my pumps a power pumping session without adding back more pumping sessions? Any advice would be much appreciated!
Hi Candy! It could be regulation. I’m assuming you haven’t gotten your period back yet? I think adding a power pumping sessions is a good idea. I’d try eating oatmeal too. Good luck!
Hello,
My baby is 14 days old and I am exclusively pumping. I have been pumping 15/20 mins about 7/8 times a day. I did the power pumping last week and I still only am getting an ounce (all together) during each session. I have read over most of your articles numerous times and now starting to wonder if I just have a low milk supply and nothing will help? Is it possible that some women can’t increase their supply because I feel like I am that women.
Hi Carmen! Congrats on your sweet baby. Yes, this is possible – some women have something called insufficient glandular tissue, for example. Here’s what I might do – first, if possible, see a lactation consultant and see if that might be and issue. Two, try hand expressing at the beginning/end of your sessions, and see if that helps. Some people struggle to respond to a pump for whatever reason. Three, try a manual pump and see if that works better for you. You’re doing a GREAT job. Hang in there – two weeks is so so early.
Hi!
Thank you so much for the advice, trying my first session now to freeze some before I resume work.
I was wondering, should I refrigerate the milk after each mini session and then assemble it once I have completed 1 cycle? Or is it ok to just continue pumping the whole hour?
🙏🏼
It’s okay to keep pumping the whole hour!
Thanks for this article! I have a question though, after trying power pumping for a week, should I go back to my regular schedule and just do it again when I want to increase my supply or should I make it a regular thing to do a power pumping session once a day?
You can go back to your old schedule 🙂
My Daughter is still currently eating 2 hours apart during the day. I started working a couple weeks ago, and last week my supply wasn’t keeping up. I had been pumping once in the morning and once in the afternoon, where she was eating twice in each of those time frames. So now I’m trying to pump around every time she eats, and I was adding a power pump session in the morning. If I do a power pump session, should I still pump again in an hour, or should I skip the next feeding?
Hi Elizabeth! I would probably pump again in an hour, since the goal is for it to replace one pumping session, if you’re able to make that work for you. I know it’s a lot of pumping!
ha ha, not the answer I wanted but I’ll try to keep up. I’m starting to understand why some people get burned out. Would power pumping sessions help after a week (5-7 days) or should I keep it up longer?
Also, thank you so much for this website and blog. Everywhere else I’ve looked for answers has seemed so judgemental, or our way is the only way type of answers. You have created a wealth of knowledge that seems to be accessible to everyone, and every different feeding journey.
Hahaha, sorry! I would give it a week to 10 days and then reassess. If you’ve seen the increase you want, you can drop the power pumping session – you just want to try to keep removing as much without it as you were with it. Good luck!
I plan on power pumping during my commute to work since it takes me an hour to get to work. Would morning time work? I was going to nurse my little one before I leave and then when I return home after a quick shower with pumping session before I leave (plus at least one to two others during my breaks).
Yes that will work!
I love this blog! ❤️ I used domperidone and power pumped when I dried up at ten months with my last LO, and it works. Great combination. I went from barely any drops all day to 5 oz a day, to back to normal. So far I have excellent supply with this little one but I already thought about ordering some to have on standby if the same thing happens again. So glad 😊 I googled ‘Dombf365’ and got dom. Dom and power pumping definitely helped (I would say more than doubled my output per pump).
I won’t lie, I thought you were being sneaky and advertising something, but I really wanted to check because I am power pumping right now and wanted to see if there was anything else more helpful to add instead of fenugreek! Thanks for the tip!! Lol ❤️❤️❤️
Where did you order your domperidone? How quickly did it work?
Hi.. doctors say when baby is not sucking at all and am exclusively pumping milk will stop in a month or so.. is that true…? Only pumping and baby not sucking even once will stop my milk supply sooner or in a month?
Hi! That’s not necessarily true at all.
Absolutely not! I exclusively pumped for a year with my first. My supply never dwindled until I started spreading out pumping sessions intentionally.
Can I just power pump ones a day and not pump any other times will it help increase my milk still?
Hi Heather, Do you mean power pump once a day and pump normally at other times or not pump AT ALL at other times? The first is fine, the second I would think wouldn’t work (but everyone is different).
So I started power pumping last night but she sleeps thru the night and eats every 3 hrs something so I don’t pump is it still going to work to help increase if I do that
So she’s nursing at other times? If you are pumping or nursing at other times, that should befine.
Will power pumping work to increase supply at 5 months postpartum?
It does for some people! I think it’s worth giving it a shot for a week and seeing what happens!
I loved your blog. My milk supply is very low post caesarean 6 weeks ago. My OBGY refuses to put me on any medication. I tried using Medela manual pump but am able to pump only 20-30 ml per side per sitting. I put my baby to my breast every alternate feed. Any suggestions ? Can the flange size be a culprit?
Hi Sonal! It definitely could be a factor. Do you have any pain when pumping?
Do you have an electric pump, too, or just a manual one?
So true. I love you blog! You are doing amazing work ❤️! Power pumping helps me a lot with my milk supply, but I would recommend giving Domperidone (Motilium) a try.. It is different. I am on Dom since my baby was 2 months old. It is easy to take and increases milk. So happy 😊 I found in Google “Dombf365” and got Dom. No side effects. I take 9 x 10mg tablets every 24 hours (ie. 3 tablets 3 times a day) and that keeps everything going nicely. Power pumping + Dom = great combination to my supply! Good luck to all!
Be very careful taking Domperidome for an extended period of time. They say a few weeks is okay, but in many women it will cause urine retention…. as was the case with me. For the past 2 years, since taking it to increase my milk supply, I’ve battled grueling UTI’s and have a chronic issue that I must take a high dose of Macrobid (antibiotics) daily in order to attempt to suppress consequent UTI’s. All in all, Domperidome was extremely helpful after a rocky start to breastfeeding, then exclusive pumping, to build my milk supply; having not done enough research has changed my life for good and I’d hate for anyone else to experience the same issues.
Best of luck with that milk supply!!!
Hi, I’m curious about this medication? I have extremely low supply, 1/2 an ounce per pumping session. Is this medication prescribed by a Doctor?
When power pumping, do you clean supplies each time in between, or could I stick everything in fridge then reuse?
I just left them on! (Hooked up with a hands-free bra)
Hiya
I’ve been power pumping once a day for at least 10 days. I’m not sure how much it boosted my supply overall but at the very least I used to yield the most milk from these sessions (180-200ml rather than 100-130ml). However the last few days I’ve only gotten what I would get from any normal pump. Any idea why this may be?
Also whenever I add an ‘extra’ pump to try and up the demand, I end up getting the same amount overall from that 3hr period. I.e. I’ll get half my normal amount in the extra pump and then when my normal time comes I get the other half. As such it fees like I’ve just wasted time. Is this still helping to signal an increase in supply or not?
Thanks in advance!
Nicola
Hi Nicola! It’s so hard to say – there are so many other things that could be going on. I understand just feeling like it’s a waste of time. Maybe take a break from it and see what happens? Maybe starting up again after a week or two break would help?
Does power pumping every day at a certain time of day increase my amount for just that time period? Or overall, my whole volume throughout will increase? I was pumping before she woke up and now my mornings I am full, but my afternoons are scant and I need to beef it up. She eats about 5-6 oz per feed, which I could accommodate on one side, now I can barely get 2-4 out of both. Need help!
I think the afternoon is a good time to do it because that’s when babies tend to cluster feed. I don’t actually know if power pumping at a certain time will more specifically affect supply at that time. If you try it let us know if it helps!
Do I have to keep power pumping after the increased milk result (after a week) to keep the amount steady, or can I go back to a normal pumping schedule? (Basically, after all that fuss— will my milk amount stay the same?)
As long as you can remove that milk in a normal session, you don’t need to continue. After you get the supply up, maintaining it all about continuing to remove it. Good luck!
I work 3 days a week and pump those days but not enough to keep up with what he’s eating(he’s 8 months). I exclusively breastfeed the other days with a bottle or 2 of formula (about 8 ounces) to make up for what I’m not making. When do you suggest that I do the power pumping as I don’t want to take out what he needs to eat.
I would do it maybe an hour or so after he goes to bed. 🙂
Hello,
I had a drop in my supply when I went back to work which my consultant said that is common. I pumped every 3 hours with no increase for the fourth week now. I have tried power pumping once a day for three days in a row last week also with no increase. What am I doing wrong?
I also eat lactation cookies, oatmeal, drink water.
Hi KAthy! Power pumping needs a bit more time. I would give it a full week and then reevaluate. You’re doing a great job!
Is power pumping effective when I do it once a day or should I include more power pumping sessions?
My daughter is almost 5 months and I am now exclusively pumping as she refuses to take my breast 🙁 I went a few days this week at work where I had about 6 hrs between pumping during the day and my supply has taken a sharp nose dive. I went from having 4-10 ounces per pumping session to 2.
My pharmacist recommended that I buy fennel seeds and boil it in a pot to make tea and take fenugreek capsules. I have done this method before with great results. I am doing this again but also trying cluster pumping. Today is my first day. I’ve been pumping every 2 hours and then do the 20 on 10 off 10 on 10 off 10 on method. I’ve been doing it every time I pump and I have to say, I’m producing about an ounce more than I normally would at this time of day – Yay!
Hi Maddie! Oh no – that stinks! I hope the fenugreek and cluster pumping help – and I’m so glad you’ve already started to produce more. Yay!
Ive tried the power pumping for a week i dont have a set pumping schedule i just do it every 3 hours i power pumped with every pump of the day now im desperate so im trying a different approach by pumping every hour for 10 -15mins each session im getting about 1-1.5 oz per hour ive been doing this for the past 2.5 days [56 hours total to be exact] and no increase yet. Im also taking fenugreek, a nursing supplement, a multivitamin and drinking 100 oz of water a day. I need thos to work! My daughter will be 3 months old on the 12th and when my milk first came in i was making 5.5 oz or more every 3 hours now i dropped to less than 3 oz every 3 hours. Am i doing something wrong? When will i see results?
Hi Krista! Oh my gosh, this sounds so stressful. I’m sorry this is so hard!
You are doing all of the right things. I think it might not be a bad idea to get some more sleep, though – you must be exhausted. I would pump every 3-4 hours during the night.
What dose of fenugreek are you taking?
Must I rest in between? Can i just power through it for 30 mins?
Different ratios are OK too!
I want to try to power pump. I have a 3 week old and been pumping and giving him bottle. He doesn’t seems to get full when I place him on my breast. I tend to pump 2 to 3 oz and that is from both breast. Should I b3 making more milk. I pump every 3 hours at night I might go 4 or 5 hours depending how tire I am.
Hi Angelica! It sounds like you are doing a great job – that is a great schedule. Power pumping sounds like a good plan in you want to make more milk!
I used to breast feed and bottle feed until about 2-3 weeks ago my 10 week old started getting frustrated on the breast and wouldn’t seem full, we got to a point where she completely rejected my breast and had green stool. I took her to the doctor whose nurse said green stool is a sign of being underfed, additionally the doctor said to supplement with formula. I supplemented with formula for about a week and have been pumping every 3 hours day and night, but I just got so exhausted to a point where I fainted a week ago at night. I’m now power pumping 3 times a day and pumping every 3 hours but I stop between midnight and 7am. My daughter slept through the night and accepted my breast for the first time this morning. Is it Wright that I’m sleeping 6-7 hours without any stimulation?
Hi Hana! I think at 10 weeks that kind of break is absolutely fine and it sounds like it’s also best for your health. Make sure to take care of yourself too ❤️
I am exclusively pumping. My right breast is producing about 75% less milk then my left. For example, at each pumping session, I get about 4 ounces from my left breast and one ounce from my right. Can I power pump one breast?
Yes! More info on this here:
https://exclusivepumping.com/how-to-fix-lopsided-breasts-when-breastfeeding/
Hi, my baby is 4 month and she was born in the 7th month .. she was in the hospital for a month and my milk supply never rose after that and now I get only 10 ml twice a day.. will the pp work for me .. can the bm increase now?
Hi Swati! Here is some information on relactation that might be helpful! It’s definitely possible!
https://exclusivepumping.com/relactation-pumping-schedules/
I power pumped for a week and saw a moderate increase in my supply (yay!) Now my question is if I stop power pumping will my supply stay the same? Just because it’s hard to find there time to continue doing this long term.
In theory, as long as you keep removing the same amount of milk from your breasts, it should stay the same!
Trying out power pumping to reestablish my supply since coming back to work. I use a spectra s2, what settings should I put it at to be most effective?
The highest setting that’s still comfortable. Good luck!
So my little is 3 weeks old tomorrow. There has only been one time where she fed directly from the breast and didnt want any formula. When I pump I only get 5-15mls. Any chance power pumping is really going to help my supply?
Hi Emily! What is your pumping schedule like?
Sorry Amanda, I will put her to the breast every 2-3hrs when she wakes then will do formula when she pulls off frustrated. She sometimes will stay latched for 15-20 mins. If she doesnt latch or stay latched for long I will pump afterwards. Over night (10-5) I wake 2 times to pump if she doesnt wake up.
I started pumping for my 3month old 6days ago as we hit a critical point and bf just wasn’t working for him. The first day I was getting 1/2-1 oz or sometimes nothing. I power pumped 5 times a day for 2 days and then dropped down to twice a day. I’m now getting around 3oz most sessions sometimes more. Trying to keep up the power pumping to meet all his needs! Though need to sort out the lazy boob, reassuring to hear it’s a thing!
You’re doing a great job!!!!
Thank you Amanda Glenn!! I shall see how long it takes to see a difference.
Is there such a thing of too much power pumping in a day? The reason I am asking; I pump when I’m at work and that is the perfect time for me to do my power pumping. My milk production has taken a sudden slump and I want to get it back because my baby is getting super fussy!! When momma is home the bottle does not exist LOL As of right now I have been power pumping for 2 days and it seems to still be fluctuating, but still in 12 hours time I am still not producing the same amount I normally do. This is the first time I am trying power pumping and I am 8 months post partum.
I think as long as you aren’t getting totally burned out by power pumping, it should be okay. 🙂 If your baby was cluster feeding there wouldn’t be a limit, right?
I’m attempting this today, does it have any affect during the night? I can go about 8 hours without feeling uncomfortable and I’m hoping to not have to worry about being woken up with engorgement and needing to pump!
How many times do i have to power pump? I ussulay pump at work & breastefeed on demand at home. Do I pump after i feed baby? how many session do I have to do per day and for how long
Once a day should be too! And yes, you can pump after feeding your baby, if you’re nursing too!
I’m gonna try this tonight for the first time and continue for a week. I also plan on doubling my water and powerade intake, buy oatmeal cookies, and maybe some brewers yeast supplements. I really want to get my supply greater than 1 oz per boob per pump!
Babygirl is currently 2 weeks old and my milk just started a week ago.
Hi . So if I’m understanding this right…. For example if I pump at 6pm for 20 minutes I would add another hour ? I’m a little confuse ?
Thank you 🙂
Hi Darla! You would make it an hour total. So an extra 40 minutes from the 20 you already do. Does that make sense?
Tonight I tried power pumping for the first time as a suggestion from a coworker. Only my left breast produces anything so here’s hoping this power pump thing works for one breast! As of right now I’m only expressing 1.5-2 ounces at a time. Not nearly enough to sustain my little guy so we have to supplement with formula. I don’t mind supplementing but I would love to not have to. Sadly I don’t think that will ever be an option. But I have come to accept that any breast milk that I am able to give him is much better than no breast milk at all. Fingers crossed that power pumping will help me give him a little more!
I hope it works! Good luck!
My LO is 8 weeks and I have to pump 35-40 minutes to get only about 1.5-2 oz. It takes at least 15 min for anything to come out. So should I still just do 1 hour of power pumping? Or longer since it already takes my a long time to get any milk? Thank you! It would be so amazing if this worked.
Hi Lane. I think it was like 3-4 days to seeing results; one week after I began, my supply was OK again and I was able to drop the power pumps. Hope it works for you!
This is so helpful! I recently started exclusively pumping as I was having a lot of anxiety over not knowing how much milk my little one was getting from the boob. Turns out my supply was low and he wasn’t getting enough! I’m going to see if the power pumping helps!
My production tanked after getting my first period since delivering and because I was putting such large gaps between pumps. Along with making sure I pumped every 4 hours and frequent nursing, “Healthy nursing tea” has absolutely made my production come back to what it was when I was first engorged.
What is healthy nursing tea?
I power pumped for the first time in January when my supply unexpectedly tanked (after 10 months of a great oversupply). It was easier than I thought it’d be, though a bit hard on my boobs. (I made it the next-to-last session of the night, though, so they were able to heal up overnight) It did work for me, and I was able to go back to my normal pumping schedule the following week with a supply that had mostly righted itself.
That’s great!
This is my experience extactly! I’ve had an oversupply for 10 months, then a fast drop off. How many days did you power pump in the evening before you saw the increase in milk?
