Gifts for breastfeeding moms
Here are some great options if you’re looking for a gift for someone who is breastfeeding their new baby.
1. LaVie Warming Massager

Price: $$$
These warming massagers are AMAZING – using vibration and warmth, they can help moms pump more milk and get letdowns faster.
They are especially useful for working moms who don’t have a lot of time of time to pump (and they make pumping in a cold lactation room much more comfortable).
2. Reusable breast milk storage bags

Price: $
While it doesn’t make sense to use reusable breast milk bags if you’re building up a huge freezer stash, these reusable bags from Junobie can come in really handy when you have a smaller stash that you’re rotating.
(Some moms also freeze their milk in regular bags, and then defrost them in the Junobie bags – that way you don’t have to worry about leaks!)
3. Portable bottle warmer

Price: $$$
Trying to warm breast milk or formula bottles when you’re not home can be challenging.
A portable bottle warmer makes this much easier – you just charge it and throw it in your diaper bag, and you can warm a bottle no matter where you are.
4. Three tier cooling rack for drying bottles and pump parts

Price: $
Most pumping moms find that drying bottles and pump parts take up their almost entire counter.
This three tier Betty Crocker cooling rack works great as a drying rack for bottles and pump parts and can help her save space!
5. Haakaa

Price:$
A Haakaa is a milk catcher.
Nursing moms can use it to catch milk on one side while they nurse on the other, while exclusively pumping moms can use it to catch milk when they randomly let down (like in the shower).
6. Rolling cart for pump supplies

Price: $$
Having a pumping station – where all of the stuff that you need to pump is located in one place – can make exclusive pumping so much easier! But what if she needs to pump in different rooms in her house?
Put everything in a rolling cart and make a mobile pumping station!
7. Ceres Chill

Price: $$$
You can pump right into this breast milk chiller! It’s a really innovative design – it’s a cooler and bottle all at once, you can pump into it, store your milk, and feed your baby using it. Great for moms who pump on the go.
If you’d like to check out the Ceres Chill, it’s available on amazon or you can get it directly from them for 15% off with the code EPUMP.
8. Breast pump backpack

Price: $$$
For pumping moms who work, travel, or pump on the go, a high-quality breast pump backpack to transport their pump, pumping accessories, and breast milk is a game changer!
The Idaho Jones breast pump backpack is really stylish and will fit everything needed. It’s large enough to fit the Spectra.
You can use EPUMP10 at checkout for 10% off on any Idaho Jones bag.
More on Idaho Jones bags here.
9. Car Adapter

Price: $
Car adapters allow pumping moms to plug their pump in when they’re in their car.
This is really useful for exclusive pumpers who are going on a trip, who have long commutes, or who live in an area that is prone to power outages.
10. Willow Go

Price: $$$$
Willow pumps are expensive, but they are AMAZING. This pump goes in a nursing bra, and a pumping mom can do pretty much anything while wearing it – grocery shop, work, etc.
More info on the Willow pump here.
11. Lactalite

Price: $$
Lactalites are a small light that attach to breast shields. They are fantastic for moms who pump in the middle of the night, because it makes it easy to position flanges and see milk flow without turning all of the lights on.
This can help her get back to sleep faster, and if there is one thing a pumping mom needs more of, it’s sleep!
(Note: Lactalites work with most pumps, but wearables.)
12. Nursing tanks

Price: $$
Nursing tanks make it easier to nurse or pump in public. These nursing tanks are long, don’t ride up, and allow you to pump hands-free!
13. LaVie Lactation Massager

Price: $$
This LaVie Lactation Massager is a little different from the warming massager mentioned above – it’s shaped specifically to be able to get out clogged ducts. It’s also waterproof, which is really handy for working out clogs in the shower.
Since blocked milk ducts can happen anytime, this is a great just-in-case gift for any breastfeeding mom.
14. Hands-free pumping bra

Price: $$
Every mom who pumps more than once a day NEEDS to be able to pump hands-free.
Not having to hold breast shields in place gives pumping moms so much of their lives back, plus it makes it easier to do breast compressions while pumping.
15. Baby Buddha

Price: $$$$
The Baby Buddha is a great mobility pump! It comes with a lanyard, so you can hook yourself up to pump with a hands-free bra, hang it around your neck and walk around the house.
Baby Buddha gave us a special discount referral code for you guys – you can get 10% off with the code EPUMP!
16. Bokee

Price: $
The bokee attaches to your counter, allowing you to make a bottle one-handed. This is super helpful when you have a hungry baby that you don’t want to put down while you make a bottle.
It’s also useful for avoiding spills after pumping.

Comments & Chitchat
The Elvie Pump! Unlike other breast pumps, it doesn’t make any noise when you are pumping. Aside from that, it’s hands-free and wearable (just put it inside your nursing bra). You can use it even when working in the office, playing with kids, or running errands. And it has an app that lets you know when you are done pumping and it tracks your pumping history. You can check it out here – https://www.elvie.com/en-us/shop/elvie-pump-usa
Love this list and I totally have most these items – couldn’t agree with you more! One thing I would add as an EP mom is a sterilizer and dryer combo: Papablic Baby Bottle Electric Steam Sterilizer and Dryer https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074M5XZTS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_OzJVDb3063GVB
This is a game changer for me since I hated waiting for bottles to air dry. Also, I have the Elvie instead of Willow but both are amazing and give so much freedom!
Thanks so much Amy!! That sterilizer looks awesome – great call!
I forgot to mention a Netflix subscription!
Love these!!!!
Nursing pads! I like washable Bamboobies for nighttime when I don’t care if my boobs look lumpy, and thinner disposable ones for daytime.
And I agree with Meredith about the snacks! I like the Munchkin Milkmakers lactation cookies, but wouldn’t buy them myself because of the price, so appreciate them as a gift.
Great list Amanda! A few more suggestions: nipple cream, a bag or other system for storing pump parts, extra boxes of milk storage bags/pump wipes/sterilizer bags. And snacks!!!
Those are great!
